There is a version of the firmware for the iPhone than 2.0, but I'm not sure if it's for the iPod Touch too, but since they are basically the same thing I am sure. 2.0-Applications include storage and other things. The new iPhone 3G came as standard. The new iPhone is released early in order to be safe in 2.0.
